Find an Orton-Gillingham Instructor
In recent years there has been a notable increase in the number of persons who represent themselves as Orton-Gillingham trained. Unfortunately, just as in the case of training programs, the quality and adequacy of preparation and experience of such persons varies significantly. However, membership in the Academy provides an objective, professional assessment by an independent third party as to the quality and the extent of the preparation and experience of Academy members. Seeking the instructional services of such persons greatly simplifies the task facing those in need of Orton-Gillingham instruction. Persons may contact the Academy office to determine if there are certified Academy members living within a convenient geographical range.
Email the Academy office for a list of Academy practitioners located in your area: ortonacademy@verizon.net
The Academy also accredits, in schools, clinics and camps, Orton-Gillingham instruction that meets Academy standards. It is suggested that parents and professionals seeking information about Orton-Gillingham instructional services contact or visit the websites of these accredited Academy programs.

TRAINING PROGRAMS | Academy Orton-Gillingham Practitioners
Fellows of the Academy have been certified as having the training and experience necessary to independently train others in the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Those seeking training that leads to Academy certification have the option of working with individual Fellow(s) or enrolling or pursuing training within an Academy Accredited Training Program. An advantage of the latter is that it simplifies the application process when seeking Academy certification. Current Accredited Training Programs appear below. |
