ASSOCIATE COURSE

The Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Class is a comprehensive, nine-month class or two weeks during the summer months. The class advances an attendee’s understanding of the specific procedures of the OG Approach and the underlying principles in teaching reading, spelling and vocabulary to dyslexic students. Teachers learn how to instruct struggling readers in ways that unlock the code of reading and spelling. The course is geared for anyone searching for ways to teach dyslexic students, both as a one-on-one tutor or in the classroom. This is a 60-hour course that satisfies the coursework requirement at the Associate Level (Option A) of certification with the Orton-Gillingham Academy.
