This  Classroom Educator course introduces individuals to the principles and instructional practices of the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Providing the knowledge base to implement OG during classroom instruction or small group intervention, participants will learn skills to carry out a structured, systematic, multisensory phonics based approach. Course content follows the OGA curriculum and explores the reading brain, beginning and advanced spelling generalizations, procedures and strategies beneficial for 95% of students, planning and executing lesson plans, and much more!

Practicum: For an additional fee, a supervised practicum with mentorship is offered after the completion of coursework to fulfill the requirements for OGA certification at the Classroom Educator level. The CE practicum consists of a minimum of 50 hours (OG lessons) within a small group setting over a minimum of 8 consecutive months. Throughout your 50 lessons, you will complete a minimum of 5 observations with the Fellow. Cost is a flat rate of $200 per observation.
