WRITING WORKSHOP

Writing, like reading, is a broad term. Under the writing umbrella, we find many important and critical areas for student success. This workshop will focus on the ways we use words to compose sentences and paragraphs. At the sentence level, attendees will work with the parts of a sentence and various sentence structures. Moving from sentences to paragraphs, attendees will focus on generating ideas, organizing thoughts, drafting content, and the editing process.

Prerequisite: There is no prerequisite for our workshops but having coursework at the Classroom Educator Level or Associate Level is highly preferred. This is a 10 hour course that satisfies some of the coursework requirement at the Certified Level of certification with the Orton-Gillingham Academy.
