Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator Training: 30 hours of coursework

The Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator coursework provides the participant with skills and the principles of the Orton-Gillingham Approach to provide and modify literacy instruction in the classroom or small groups (Tier 1 and 2). This course meets the requirements for the Orton-Gillingham Academy’s Classroom Educator certification. Participants must complete the 50-hour Practicum following the coursework to be Certified at the Classroom Educator Level of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham.

Practicum: The 50 hours of supervised practicum teaching a group of students over a minimum of 8 months includes 5 observations by a Fellow or qualified supervisor. There is no additional cost for the practicum.
