The Classroom Educator (CE) course is designed for those interested in learning about the OG approach for group settings. Trainees will learn about the foundations of the OG approach, neurobiology of dyslexia, reading acquisition, the structure of the English language, phonology, spelling rules, syllable types, and syllable division patterns. These hours are also applicable towards Associate Level coursework.

Practicum: The practicum is for those who want to attain the Classroom Educator level certification from the Orton-Gillingham Academy (OGA). It consists of 50 hours of a supervised practicum with 2 or more students in a group setting. There are at least 5 observations which are conducted over 8 consecutive months at a cost of $100 for each observation with constructive feedback. The OGA does not offer certification without a practicum.
