This Classroom Educator course introduces individuals to the principles and instructional practices of the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Participants will learn skills to carry out a structured, systematic, multisensory, phonics-based approach by providing the knowledge base to implement OG during classroom instruction or small group intervention. Course content aligns with the Orton-Gillingham Academy curriculum. It explores the reading brain, phonology, beginning and advanced spelling generalizations, multisensory/multimodal strategies, basic morphology, planning and executing lesson plans, and more.
